Meinerzhagen/Lüdenscheid – After the "Bridge Blaster" comes the "Bridge Builder".
The traditional Meinerzhagen distillery Krugmann continues its creative product line around the A45 and has launched a new pomegranate liqueur in a 20-milliliter bottle, a sweet greeting for the upcoming opening of the Rahmedetal Bridge. "We toasted the demolition back then with many people – now we want to celebrate the bridge building properly too," says managing partner Patrick Fayner.
"The 'Bridge Builder' stands for new beginnings, cohesion, and a piece of confidence in the region." As with the "Bridge Blaster," the "Bridge Builder" is also intended to serve as a symbolic souvenir. It is available immediately and will be offered in beverage and retail stores as well as online. Even at the public festival on October 4, 2025, on the closed highway, the liqueur can be used to symbolically toast the upcoming bridge opening.
The ruby red liqueur with a fine pomegranate flavor was deliberately chosen as a counterpart to the previous plum liqueur: "The pomegranate has always been a symbol of fertility and new beginnings – so it's perfect for the start of a new bridge that opens up new paths for all of us," explains Fayner. The distillery did not disclose whether NRW Minister President Hendrik Wüst or Lüdenscheid's mayor Sebastian Wagemeyer would also receive a small bottle on their desks this time – but it is not ruled out. "We hope that this time, politicians will not only be reminded of the demolition, but also find the courage to push projects like this forward more quickly," Fayner said with a wink.
The "Bridge Builder" (15 percent vol.) is available immediately in regional beverage and retail stores, in Krugmann's online shop, and at selected events.
