Its spicy-sweet-aromatic taste goes well with many dishes and finds a fresh complement in the cheerful taste of lemon. This combination, however, is not only good in the kitchen, but is also a wonderful base for a delicious aperitif liqueur: In BASILICO, basil and lemon create a delicious blend of herbal spiciness and lemony freshness that will pleasantly surprise you.

The Krugmann distillery in Meinerzhagen is the home of Basilico. We macerate dried basil, as fresh basil quickly loses both aroma and color. We supplement this macerate with lemon juice as a fresh counterpoint to the spicy basil. The result is a unique aperitif liqueur with 20% vol. BASILICO contains no artificial flavors. Any slight sediment is due to the high concentration of natural extracts and indicates the quality of the product.

As an aperitif or just on its own? Enjoy BASILICO neat on ice or mixed. It is a perfect solitaire and at the same time versatile in the company of sparkling wine, juice, and various tonic waters. The "BASILICO-Sprizz" - Basilico with mineral water and Prosecco/sparkling wine sets a new trend for light summer cocktails.

Numerous cocktails can be created with BASILICO. A "Gin Basil Smash" can be prepared in no time and makes the bartender's job easier, without sacrificing the demand for the highest quality.

Cocktail Recommendation:

BASILICO Sprizz
Cut 1-2 thin slices of lemon into small pieces, add them to a wine glass with 1-2 basil leaves and 3cl BASILICO, add ice cubes or cold crushed ice, and top up with sparkling wine or Prosecco.

BASILICO - Tonic 
Pour 3cl BASILICO with ice cubes into a wine glass, top up with 10cl tonic water, add 1-2 basil leaves and a lemon zest for decoration.
