The QUEEN OF HEARTS is a purely natural liqueur – naturally without any added artificial additives or flavourings.

The Fleur-de-lis – the French lily – also fits as a symbol for the QUEEN OF HEARTS. Around the same time as the liqueur spread, this symbol also became widespread in the royal houses of Europe. It symbolized the sublime, noble, and pure. Already found as such a symbol in ancient civilizations in the 3rd millennium BC, the French royal houses, in particular, chose the Fleur-de-lis as a royal symbol in the 13th century; later, the lily was often a church metaphor for the Virgin Mary or the Trinity.

According to the latest research, the term Fleur-de-lis originates from German. Contrary to popular belief, however, the Fleur-de-lis or French lily does not symbolize the lily, but rather the iris, as the appearance of these flowers suggests. The wild iris (iris pseudacorus or yellow iris) is called Lieschblume in German, and in the Middle Ages also Lies and Leys. It is easy to imagine that this name became Fleur-de-lis in France. Thus, the Fleur-de-lis, with its meaning of the sublime, noble, and pure, is not only a beautiful but also an appropriate symbol for the sublime, noble, and pure of the QUEEN OF HEARTS.
