Caraway Liqueur has always been a special Oechelhaeuser delicacy. When the distillery was founded by the Oechelhaeuser family in 1842, no one could have imagined that this Siegen specialty would still be so popular 180 years later. A surprising discovery was made during excavation work for the Oberstadtbrücke in Siegen. Historic treasures, such as old bottles, recipes, and other objects from the old distillery, came to light here. The anniversary caraway liqueur is also based on an old recipe that had long been lost. With much love, care, and craftsmanship, this specialty was brought back to life for the 180th anniversary.
